Found out over the weekend that my Grandmother died over two weeks ago, on Halloween.

What little Family that I have left must have forgotten to let me know....
Maybe they didn't know?
My Grandmother was one who always had to "be in charge," which among other things,
alienated her with the rest of the Family.
Though she had even slighted me on occasion, I still loved her and was always willing to help her when I visited.
Not to go into "family business" with any stories,
But,
I never hid my stance and feelings for my Grandmother from my other relatives and may have not
received favorable response because of it.
I left Kansas in 2004 and hadn't seen her since.
We exchanged Christmas and Birthday cards and one year for her Birthday, I cut a rosebud from one of my rosebushes, wrapped it in wet paper towels, put it in a used clean spice plastic bottle and mailed it to her overnight.
She wrote back that she showed it to everyone and it bloomed the day after she got it and she said it was the sweetest smelling rose that she had smelled in many years.
Goodbye, Gramma....
