CRISPINS CRITTERS

Hey Guys, I'm putting myself on time out again. I can't have people attacking me professionally. No thread or point is worth that kind of thing. Good luck on breaking 10,000 and more. I'll check back in around x-mas to say hello. Control your emotions or somebody else will, Crispin
I still want to go hunting sometime! I have a new toy that I'm still learning how to run! Will miss your intelligent posts, something most of these people do not know how to do without insults to us "sheeples". I've quit participating in those threads based on recommendations of my therapists, who happens to be my lovely wife. It just keeps me too pissed off to keep reading their posts. Peace and happy holidays to you my friend! Drop me a line sometime waltfletcher@hotmail.com Best Regards, Walter Fletcher

Barb,

This is the short version.....a sheet of paper is painted with Indian Ink and then a design outline of the finished project is drawn on it using onion skin paper.

Then you take an exacto knife and scratch off the ink until you end up with the finished product.

Regards + HH

Bill

Bill,

That is quite an art,not many qualify.

Sorry I haven't been here lately, been busy
and life goes on for all of us....

It is hard, I've found, to be away for a few days and try
to read, catch up and comment on posts missed....

To catch up on my doings,
I've decided to retype what was lost a few days ago...
The wording has been lost but not the feeling....

I went with my landlord to North Carolina, to Franklin, where the house was.
Not a lake house, but a mountain house.

I ended up fixing a deadbolt and re-keying two keyed entry knob sets.

He wants cam locks on a liquor cabinet that I'll have to order 4 keyed alike cam locks
that I'll have to drill and install.
Then there's a "closet" with a bi-fold door that He wants a locking mechanism installed...
So, it looks like a return trip later....

We stopped at an Asian buffet for lunch....

They Had a Sushi Bar!

You can bet I got his money's worth!

I had 10-12 pieces of sushi and sashimi.
And it was GREAT!
Not to mention my other 3 plates including salad, hot and sour soup, and two plates of dessert.
I left stuffed fuller than a Thanksgiving Turkey!

On the way back,
We stopped at Jaemor Farms...

Produce Farm in Georgia | Jaemor Farms

I bought 5 pounds of raw peanuts, some beets, yams, kiwis, grapefruit, garlic, and
well, I can't remember all of it....

The peanuts are for boiling.

And boiling I commenced with....
With some fresh habanero peppers.

Can you scream for water?

And I'm experimenting with oven roasting....

On Monday, I helped my locksmith Friend late into the afternoon and
really didn't feel like driving all the way to Buford, Georgia
to the closest Golden Corral for a Veteran's day dinner.
But, I thought about the past 5 years that I had went and the fear of driving home after dark faded.
I went.

I waited 45 minutes to an hour before receiving my tray and silverware.
I found a table in the back, seated alone, and worked my way through the
lines to fill my plate with a meal.

When I came back to my table,
Seated across from me was a guy that was in my College Film Class and his girlfriend!
The conversation was light and reminiscent,
and I was glad that I came.

Halfway through my salad,
I heard the Star Spangled Banner being faintly played for the benefit of those still waiting,
and I was the first to rise with my hand to my heart.
Soon, the entire dining room was standing at attention. :icon_thumleft:

I ate heartily, and sought out the hard working server, who kept my coffee cup full,
and pressed a $5 bill into her hand.
As I made my way to the exit, I slipped a $20 bill into the pot for the Disabled Veterans.

I ate well this night, gave to those who served and will eat ramen the rest of the week.

Since we have no guesses or knowledgeable opinions on the Guitar that Tommy Emmanuel was playing,
I'll give the answer. Those who know will surely see it.

The guitar is an Ovation.

And,
Since I seem to be a "thread killer," and nobody seems to post when I'm active,
I'll just obey orders and fade....

Hope all are still my Friends and,
Always,

My Best Wishes to all,

Scott

wow boiled peanuts make me recall bbcamay ( billy bob camay- soap heir) wonder whatever happened to her? ( she used to call me goober)

As someone who is neither liberal or conservative, I would like to say that although I don't know what post you are referring to re crisp. ...that my feeling re personal and professional, is that taking part on this thread is strictly personal not professional for any of us! Hopefully no insults or reference to ones professional life will be made by others...

Chris,

Johanne has been painting various types of art for about 40 years now, oils, acrylics, scratch art, folk art, decorative painting and yeah she's very good at it.

She teaches classes also to a select group of students.

Certainly not something to get rich but it gives her a bit of pocket money and keeps her busy while I'm out playing in the dirt....lol..
