CRISPINS CRITTERS

pip etal,

A bit of trivia for you.....on the Iron Butterfly tune....

As it turns out the singer was stoned big time when he showed up at the studio but they went ahead anyway and did the recording......he was supposed to say "In a garden of Eden".....but they decided to leave it as recorded...lol...

Regards + HH

Bill

I can always depend on you pat...thanks...:notworthy:

I've got less than 24 hours to completely re-pack my ruck for the season.
The last time I went camping was in June.

I've also planned and prepared a fine campfire meal for Thanksgiving Day!

(couldn't go without a song....)

Best,

Scott

PIppin,
Hard for me to believe that most people today were not even born by the time that war was over, yet some of my memories (though no longer nightmares) remain as if it were yesterday.
Don.....

AFTER the TET "thing"; BASIC song of the "GRUNTS". Later, WE GOT TO GET OUT OF THIS PLACE, also by the STONES. You should see the Vietnam Vets, dancing in their circle, singing We GOTTA Get OUT OF THIS PLACE; read the lyrics, and you will know why...

Don.....

Thankfully, I missed Viet Nam by just a couple of years.
But I served with many who were in country.

I'm still in awe of the survivors and I personally
went against the traditional home front feelings of the era.

I Honor and Thank All who have served! :icon_thumright:

My Best,

:icon_salut:

scott...we all do what we can...

Umm...
Pardon my observation, but is that a left-handed salute?
Perhaps a salute in the mirror, practicing? (Been there, done that...)

I was trained to be observant.
When my Uncle, Captain Wm. Stanko, United States Army, passed and I attended his Military Funeral,
I noticed that one of the Company of Military Personnel assigned to the detail had their insignia
displayed incorrectly on their uniform.
I went to the C.O. of the detail to point this out.

I didn't want to see anyone get into trouble, but,

If pre-inspection to the detail failed to notice this discrepancy,
I wanted to provide guidance and education to correct dress and procedures.

Best,

Scott

hey, i am restricted in my smilie selection...

Me, too!

Where did you see that icon?

I'm gonna search for icons not provided here on Tnet.

Sometimes, the stock icons just don't quite cut it...

Best,

Scott

Pip, hit the "more" button, under your smilies, it'll throw up an expanded smilies, then choose from those. That's what I hafta do sometimes, or go to "go advanced". My smilies go wonky sometimes, too.

I like the way ya'll all think I'm so young and all..... :laughing7:
I know, pips, I know...... I miss these guys.
