Scott,
Opportunities surround me every day. Each problem I encounter is really a challenge to find a working solution. And each alternative I try to achieve the solution provides an opportunity for success.
Don.......

Well said and appreciated! :icon_thumright:

Yes, a sure sign that ole Scott is gettin' old...

I finally got a pipe that I had bought on eBay.

Since I don't smoke cigarettes any longer, and I still
have the "tobacco urge,"

Might take some getting used to.

Anyone have suggestions?

Best,

Scott

Mulleinhttp://www.fcps.edu/islandcreekes/ecology/common_mullein.htmCheck with your Doctor, mullein has in the past been smoked for lung ailments if I recall correctly. Its very poor quality if its harvested wet from rain or dew.

As I pack my ruck for the adventure ahead,

I think of past trips;
What was packed for personal comfort? What was missing....?

Food and sustenance? Never a worry.

Weather and ability to continue?
Sometimes a concern; especially when hail and tornadoes were a factor.

Temperature and ability to stay warm?

I used to take ice skates on Boy Scout camping trips to speed skate on half-frozen streams and creeks.

Melt snow and ice over a campfire (that I always seemed to be the one to start)
and make hot chocolate and dinner.

I hope to pack my ruck as lightly and as bountifully as possible.

(Got me a big "Three Musketeers" candy bar...That's a good start....)

Best,

Scott
