CRISPINS CRITTERS

Dang!

I know that I got a photo from the 80's of that bank
somewhere in my memory box....

1-IMG_1110.webp

WHOA!
There's an oldie!

4-IMG_1114.webp

Must have been about mid 60's.
My Aunt, my Mom, my Dad, a younger cousin, I'm guessing :dontknow:
and that skinny kid in the flannel shirt with curly hair.

Any bets on if he'll make good?

WOW!

LOOK!

A picture of my first store bought metal detector!

3-IMG_1112.webp
From Montgomery Wards!
I still have it.
It works perfectly
and,
I even still have the receipt!

Let's see,
Bank, Bank, AH!

Here we go!

Folks,

For some reason or other I'm getting flashbacks to the 60's scary or what....lol...

One of the top DJ's from the time said even though this was a great song the main reason it hit number 1 was because it gave them time for a washroom break back in the day since everything was done live back then.....just a bit of trivia for you.

Like a Rolling Stone - Bob Dylan.

TGF- SUPER!

A gold star for you for your first find!

Keep hunting, and if you ever have a question, I'd be happy to help.

Jeff,

Here ya go buddy! Totally naked, totally hot!

Bill,

I'm down with trivia, especially music trivia.

Here's one to consider....

Who was the first President to be audibly recorded?

President Benjamin Harrison.
circa ea.1890's.

I have a copy of Victor Records pressing of Wm. Howard Taft
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Howard_Taft

from about the time Lincoln cents were introduced and if you knew then....
Camp out at the San Francisco mint for a roll or two of uncirculated 1909-S VDB's.....

Best,

By the way, I was late for that by just a couple of years...

Not a bad skeletal representation although the heels won't work in the woods where I go.
She'll have to lose them.
And that blouse is probably restrictive of movement.
Let's get rid of that, too.

And the....
What?

OK.
I see....

Best,

Scott

I'm guessing that you and the 7 y/o did well....:dontknow:

I don't know much about "geo-caching" but if it involves being outdoors and an adventure,
I'll have to look into it! :icon_thumright:

My Best,

A little "sumthin-sumthin" for y'all!
(wait for it, here it comes....)

Concerning the bank job in the morning, the safety deposit box,
I've made a mighty bold claim to my locksmith Friend---1-2-3 I'm in.

Here's my gear....

1-IMG_1116.webp
Blanks for duplicating guard and renter keys, 2 replacement locks that are settable to the Bank's guard key,
A nose puller kit and a couple or 3 misc. tools.

2-IMG_1117.webp

Inside the nose puller kit are the specialty tools
on the right that I designed.

I foolishly bragged that it won't be 1-2-3;
it would be 1-2 open!

Dang.

I'll be alright.
I have faith in my design.
Ain't nothin' but a field test.
Ain't nothin' but a thang....
Right?
(CAUTION: PARENTAL ADVISORY-- LANGUAGE.)

Best,

Scott

Whoa!

Just remembered that I'll have to stop by the shop on the way to get
my letter and number stamps to stamp the box number on the new renter keys.

Glad y'all reminded me.....:icon_thumright:

hummm…. tension wrench & a rake (can't see if it's a rake or a pick actually, tip is obscured inside the box) - it's all I've ever needed, (and the occasional shim) but I've not worked on a safety deposit box before.

Standard split tumbler system?

Ripping the gut's out works too I suppose.

"Yeah, but he still made a dollar or two along the way...."

The South WILL rise again; not with bullets, war and hatred,
But with education, wisdom and a belief in America.
It will rally the Country to Unity!

That's how the South will win! :coffee2:
That's how America will win.

Ah, my Friend...
Therein lies the rub.

The previously used locksmiths used the drill and destroy method. Noisy and messy.

Hence--
My quick, quiet method.

I'm winning again!

(Bill, you remember Steve. What Band is he associated with?)

My Best,

Scott

PS.
Have you any idea of the cost and time to replace a specific door on a wall of safety deposit boxes inside of a particular bank's vault?

I don't even SCRATCH the door.
I "manipulate."
Quickly and quietly.

Banks LOVE that....

By the way, the same bank that I buy my bags of cents from.

Got two bags this time.
41-IMG_1081.webp

Already got half a dozen Wheaties, a 98 WAM and a 1905 Indian cent! :hello2:

AND....

I have had 6-8 emails with the Director of IT concerning my "lost" college webpage mentioned previously.

Hopefully it will be accessible soon and I will post here less, affording y'all more opportunity to forget about me.

Oh, no word yet on the check from the college.

Anyway,

Later...

Best,

Scott

It's just a "slow-motion" night, right?

I think not.....

An oldie that my Mom would take my hands while she was house-cleaning and I was almost kindergarten age.
By the age of 5-6, I knew how to play the family stereo better than my Parents..

We would waltz across the floor of the living room and she'd call me her little bimbo.

Sniffle...

Sure worked on me to help her with the chores....

Let's all just jam...

Shout-out to the talented sax player, Chris Wood,
(His reed is righteous!)

And also to a former member of the previous group.

Performing his original song...
Yes, Dave Mason wrote this next song. Not Joe Cocker, not the Beatles.

Dave Mason, Clapton, Ginger Baker, .. man.....

That was the days.....

Best,

Scott
