Yes, Barb, I am looking into this right now between posts and have lined up a Geology Major willing to help me. I Hate to give up. I'd rather give more. Now, the second part of your post leaves open just two questions. Why you would say something like that, and, Do you want to discuss your theories in public with me and everyone else who may chance upon the topic? Perhaps you wish to reply via PM. RC, my Friend, You are always there in the pinch! I'm Proud to call you my Friend. That little tune that you decided to play by Boston, reminded me of the album that I would plate every morning while my coffee was brewing. I worked construction in Kansas when I played this in the early 80's. In the winter, Cold. Snow. Dress in layers. MANY layers. Kinda hard to get going, no? This song would hit my speakers and the volume on a Dual Turntable, with a Pickering cartridge, through a Pioneer 12 band graphic equalizer and Technics amp to Bose 901's, the volume, yes, the volume, and the bass and.... were significantly increased and tailored to my first mood of the morning.....Is the coffee ready yet? Sure I can Google it, but googling anything nowadays is a mixed bag at best.
Do any of you know what is actually considered a dangerous fever ? I think I'm getting pneumonia again, had it several times in my life, and the way my lungs feel leads me to think that.
Anyway my temp is 103.9 is that high enough that I should go to the ER ? I have a oxygen concentrator I'm using but its not helping much.

You got me figured out.
I was happiest when I was serving my country.
The best "job" that I ever had. That was in the late 70's.


And now, to further explain my academic woes,
Here's a college Email that I just sent to my Geology Professor:

If you please, a moment of your time.....
Being older, I have learned to never make rash decisions which may have permanent results.

What I'm facing is:
A) Stay in class, have problems, receive a low grade, lose Honors Status, lose Scholarships.
B) Withdraw, save GPA, save Honors status, save Scholarships. (The "downside" is the potential to have to repay Scholarship and/or Grant funds due to withdrawal.)

Now, I'll tell you that I'm close to my degree (2 more classes after this semester) and if I withdraw,
I'll still have to take a replacement Science course.

I'd like to have this type of discussion with my advisor, however, her availability has always seemed to be an impedance to discussions of this nature.

I have really invested a great deal of time and effort to your class and have certainly thus far learned a great deal to supplement my known knowledge.
I don't remember mention of familiarity of chemistry, elements and such in the course description. If so,
I surely would have decided against such a course.
And I've still another Science based course remaining for completion towards my Degree.
Forgive me I digress....

The short of this email is to state, that after you told me this afternoon that you would help me as much as possible,
and that I may still have one more deciding personal encouragement up my sleeve....
I WILL BE IN CLASS Thursday morning to give your course my best try.
I then will have the entire weekend to devote to trying to understand, learn and memorize all of the terms, tables etc.

In no way are your presentations or lectures be held at fault for any shortcomings on my part.

If I stay, I lose GPA but I gain in ways that I can never be able to explain.

See you in Class Thursday.

I once showed up to a course I lacked the prerequisite for to an eye rolling teacher who though she did but rarely had to intervene in my ignorance a decent grade ensued,though not enough to maintain any level you require. Its possible to learn,and to keep a level of scores up. Or to keep scores up and learn little,or.. well being a student nearing professional student status you know the terrains involved. Keep your end of the bargain and the exchange with teacher even. Reminds me of a government first hour teacher who also taught my sixth hr eighteen hundreds class so puzzled why one class was cryptonite and the other without challenge.

BC 1969 you better get that fever under control. That is a high fever
The symptoms of viral pneumonia usually are:
Low fever
Chills
Muscle aches
Fatigue
Enlarged lymph nodes in the neck
Chest pain
Sore throat
Coughing that usually brings up only a small amount of mucus

Bacterial pneumonia usually has these symptoms:
High fever
Cough with thick greenish or rust-colored mucus
Shortness of breath
Rapid breathing
Sharp chest pain that is worse with deep breaths
Abdominal pain
Severe fatigue
You may also notice chills, heavy sweating, and mental confusion.
I"m the resident Field medic, not a doctor but the best "acting doctor "without a license..........get that temp down bro
