College is something that you want to experience, and many make careers out of it because it is a safe environment. I have a BS and MS, and did them by working and paying out of pocket.....no debt. After 6 years teaching and researching at the University, it was made obvious the "Piled Higher and Deeper", was being heavily suggested for my continuence.....I elected the real world and the chance to do what I wanted, and never turned back. I miss the research and the chance to formulate a problem and come up with a solution....sounds like everyday life doesn't it. Now as I start my retirement, and have the time, I also have some research projects I want to pursue here on the Lake....Questions that I have seen other's work on and publish, but with ambiguous results....primarily the whole question of climate change and it's effect on the environment....Like why is there still 2+ feet of ice on the Lake in front of my house.
We all use or abuse education for our own means, but hopefully none of the knowledge has ben wasted and the wisdom that comes with time and maturity is used wisely......now of my stump, and wishing all a good evening.....Gary
