A couple that I rekeyed....
The first one is a "Master" brand.
In the middle photo, you notice a "roll pin" lower right.
I drilled it out and the core assembly came out.
Then it was just a matter of pinning it up to an Ilco M4 pre-cut key I already had.
I then put the core assembly back in the lock body,
replaced the "roll pin"
and duped up the key.
Or perhaps "IC Cores" are of interest to you....
Here's a "Best,"
6 pin, with a B2 A keyway.
I "drilled out" the core (Picking is pretty much impossible),
removed all the parts of the old core,
keyed up a new core with a specialty pinning kit for only IC cores,
and installed the new core.
Now, with IC cores,
Folks,
you have to have at least 2 keys-
one that actually works the lock, and one used only to remove the core...
If you notice towards the back of the core is a mechanism that only the "core key" will
retract.
I duped up the working key and only need one core key.
The machine used to dupe or cut IC core keys looks like this...
That's the only keys this machine will dupe.
This little machine costs about $800.

Now then,
I promised pics of that ignition I was knee deep into Friday afternoon.
I removed the gas tank cover and disconnected the 2 pairs of wires from the switch and removed the switch.
I then disassembled the switch, which had 2 roll-pins, springs, 2 ball bearings and a retainer.
I then found the correct blanks.
I then removed the 6 wafers, being careful to keep them in order.
I took one blank and colored the blade with a red sharpie.
Then I put the blank into the core and scratched where each space a wafer goes.
Then I loaded the blank into the code machine and lined up the cutter wheel to each mark.
I put the other blank into the core after replacing the wafers,
to gauge how deep to make the cuts.
Folks,
We're talking in the thousandths of an inch for tolerances, and
I soon had the proper cuts on one side of the key.
It was a double sided, HD14, I believe....
I put the ignition back together, springs, ball bearings and all,
trying the key every step of the way.
Satisfied with the operation of the key,
I replaced the 2 roll-pins.
I then duped the fresh blank off of the one side just made, and then duped the other side of my "work key."
Then all I had to do was reinstall the switch and put everything back together.
