Barb,

This is the short version.....a sheet of paper is painted with Indian Ink and then a design outline of the finished project is drawn on it using onion skin paper.

Then you take an exacto knife and scratch off the ink until you end up with the finished product.

Regards + HH

Bill

Reminds me of using crayons in an indistinct pattern of different colors on a sheet of paper then using Tempra Black paint over it.

Then you scribe a design or picture on the dried tempra to expose the crayon underneath for a unique work.

Yeah, I wanted to be a Teacher recently.

For about, say, Third Graders.

Younger than that; You're just a babysitter.

Older than that?
Forget it. They already know everything....

I had many ideas for learning.

------
One, I thought may have been for any and all grades is that I'd one day enter the classroom with an old chest, about the size of 3 loaves of bread. I would say to the class,
"Here is a Treasure chest. Write a 5 page story of how you came to this chest and what is inside.
The best judged story will win the "Booty" that is in this chest and an "A!"
--------

Yeah. I'm in the "Crispin Archives."
Somewhere about page 100.....:icon_scratch:

Lookin' for the "last lost list" of Members....

Help a brother out, huh?

Best,

Scott
