CRISPINS CRITTERS

Scott (aka AU24K) That bacon I gave you tonight was from Tender Belly and is some good stuff. Check them out.

Tender Belly | Bacon, it's good for ya!

I'm gonna have that big, heart killing cholesterol cheese burger tonight that we talked about and gonna put the bacon on it and call that dinner! :notworthy: Thanks, Bro!
(The habenaro pepper spice added wasn't as hot as I thought it would be....
But my hair did sweat.....:laughing7:)

Best,

Scott

They willing to sponsor a car for ya?
I solicit sponsors when buying non racing supplies.
Worst they can do is say no...and they do.
Offer them a big sticker on the boat for example , in exchange for a new boat.
No takers yet. Hard to even get a hat out of the deal , even when handing over money. l.o.l..
Scored a couple hats though. Ooo-whee!

RC,
You have provided ideas here....

Lucid doesn't visit Treasurenet often and I will mention this to him in a minute....

Thanks for the idea!

Best,

Scott

PS.

Wonder if he's interested in any of the tools I've recently acquired? :icon_scratch:

I don't know much about Mahogany Rush, I will investigate. Thanks! Got any more?
I have a few thousand albums, CD and then on Itunes....but this thread, you guys turn me on to MORE music!
My computer is plugged in to my stereo...Itunes and CD's sound great. 10 band EQ helps. I notice music on you tube lacks in quality.

Akai Speakers, eh?

Here's my latest inventory for sale....

(From an old college webpage assignment)

"GIT 'ER HERE"

"Homepage" of my webpage.
Haven't worked on it for quite awhile....
Shoot, the College has since merged and servers changed, etc.
Most ALL links are broken....

The very first album that I purchased, with money earned from being a Cook at a sit-down restaurant,
when I was about 14, and having a "so-so" stereo system was....

Just "sealed the deal" on my 85th swap on Numista!

Numista

In this swap, with a Fellow in Cyprus,
I'll receive for my collections of World Coins the following:

Netherlands- 1 cent-1920
Sweden-2 Ore-1907
British coins....
1/2 Penny- 1897, 1910, 1924
1 Penny- 1893
And,
1961 One Shilling.

Always looking to fill spaces in my collected "Souvenirs."

Hope Y'all have a great week!

My Best,

Scott

Souvenirs

All the snow has turned to water
Christmas days have come and gone
Broken toys and faded colors
Are all that's left to linger on

I hate graveyards and old pawn shops
For they always bring me tears
I can't forgive the way they rob me
Of my childhood souvenirs

Memories they can't be boughten
They can't be won at carnivals for free
Well it took me years to get those souvenirs
And I don't know how they slipped away from me

Broken hearts and dirty windows
Make life difficult to see
That's why last night and this mornin'
Always look the same to me

I hate reading old love letters
For they always bring me tears
I can't forgive the way they rob me
Of my sweetheart's souvenirs

Memories they can't be boughten
They can't be won at carnivals for free
Well it took me years to get those souvenirs
And I don't know how they slipped away from me

PS.

And just purchased 3 more gemstones online.
(Sheesh! No wonder that I'm always poor....)

Guess I had better get back to making jewelry, huh?
I feel more into unique pins and necklaces....
First, I must sketch designs....

Oh, and a couple more swaps are in the works at Numista.
One involving World currency, another with stamps in negotiation....

I don't like to do the whole sponsor thing. Because then I have obligations to my sponsor. When it comes to a hobby I prefer for the only obligation to be to myself.

I certainly understand.

AHA!

The Ford Focus ignition didn't happen today....

Something about a wife and the cost.

I'll stop in to the Wine and Cheese shop to suggest a cheaper alternative....

I'll rebuild the ignition with used parts.
And give a 6 month guaranty!
For about $50.
In trade for some of that yummy cheese!

One night, while on a forced coon hunt with my Uncle when I was about 10....

A moonless night, my uncle's dogs, a Blue Tick and a Healer, were anxious for the chance to run in the woods.

Not more than 15 minutes of our arrival, the blue tick picked up a scent and began baying....

I remember runnin' at night, through the woods to kill an animal.....Why?

I have never killed since.
An animal.....

Some Monsters will appear to be human.
And some animals will,
Let's just say,

If you follow the line of reasoning presented here tonight, it may just lead you to the "Twilight Zone!"

Fair nuff!
A former brother in law raced with solo financing too.
Another tried sponsors.
Both raced.
Their first year as rookies was both entertaining and a learning experience.
I watched the one who sought sponsors try to by pass his power steering box with a loop of hose(a fluid issue arose, too much or too little) then sail off the back stretch again ... sawing on the wheel like a raccoon....

We are having record rainfall here. A friend of mine's house is an island at the moment, surrounded by water....A small boat is taking him
"to the mainland" about 25 feet...Laughing he told me I ain't payin' till I get to the other side!!
I thought of this...

OV,

Thanks for the chuckles.....I hope the rain lets up for your buddy and other locals.

Regards + HH

Bill

He says thank you! He built close to the river and has a creek running right by his house. It is on a spot (man made) above the surrounding area.
I built the foundation for him years ago. Building department? I think informed me I must install "spillways" for the water to flow through....Because it was in a flood plane. He (homeowner ) was given the property as partial trade for a logging operation/job. Dude what did you expect?:laughing7:

This has happened a few times before...the water (knock on wood) has not reached floor level yet.

When? You mean when will it stop!...
One of my bro's favs....

Frey was one month younger than I am too...

67 years old, sad.
R.I.P.

“It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our comrade, Eagles founder, Glenn Frey, in New York City on Monday, January 18th, 2016,” the band said in a statement. “Glenn fought a courageous battle for the past several weeks but, sadly, succumbed to complications from Rheumatoid Arthritis, Acute Ulcerative Colitis and Pneumonia. The Frey family would like to thank everyone who joined Glenn to fight this fight and hoped and prayed for his recovery. Words can neither describe our sorrow, nor our love and respect for all that he has given to us, his family, the music community & millions of fans worldwide.”
