Hi all, I posted this in the What is it? Forum, but I thought I'd post it here too as I got it VERY cheaply at an estate sale last night. The symbol on it looked military to me but no one seemed to be paying attention to it. So I bought it and did a little research and found out that it is indeed military, and it's from the US Army Transportation Corps.
U.S. Army Transportation Corps - Fort Lee, Virginia
The problem is, I don't know WHAT it is! I was thinking parade conductors baton or something, but I honestly have no idea. So, if anyone has any info on what it is, the approximate age, or the approximate value I would appreciate it.
The stick is wood. The end caps are brass. It is 23 inches long. There are no markings other than the unit crest.
Thanks for looking!
