Some pictures of crystals we found on a hunt a week ago. I think they are calcite but don't know that for sure. If calcite would they be fluorescent under long or shortwave UV light?

I believe they are calcite as they were collected from septarian concretions on the high plains absent of any quartz environment.

If they are calcite you can scratch them with a piece of glass.
If they are quartz they won't be scratched by glass

I didn't zoom in on any pictures... But Calcite and dolomite are definites... Nice stuff!!
