Rain, wind here bad lightening! On the bus this am it flooded out really 2 of them did one I was on an another! That brought us a different one and the kids were at school by 8:10 instead of 7:45, power outages here and there one at a grade school . At least 3 streets closed I know of because of high water (we had to detour over 2 miles to go around to pick up kids. ) This was in town. One bus had to go around a tree limb on a power line . Loads of fun! Can't wait to see what we will get thai afternoon, they are talking tornados an hail!

Not a cloud in the sky here all day and some funny looking orange ball up in the sky. I vaguely remember what that ball is but it's been so long. Made up for it this morning. Terrible looking front came in with lots of lightening and thunder and of course heavy rain. It's between storms right now but I can hear thunder off in the distance. Monty

I cked the gage in front yard I got 3 1/2 inches. Due for more tonight I've been gone so I've not seen the forcast but I was told just rain really late :dontknow: so if true gooood !

lol with a couple three days of rain like that you will have acquired a whole years rainfall for our area!! YIKES...don't float away!

Well I spoke too soon...It started pouring here....of course it only lasted about 20 mins! I feel for you guys...now I remember why I like living in the desert!

I saw that weather in OK this evening! :o Ya'll gotta check in and let us know you're OK! :icon_sunny:

How's that sweet baby, Dennis? We need an updated pic!!

Nana :hello:

Heavy stuff moved up from the south through us this evening. Yellow, red, purple. Just high winds and some horizontal rains at my site. Stay safe! -Noodle

Safe here storms stayed south I was worried about OSU dorms in tillwater but it disapated before it got them ! Hows everyone else?

Once again it tornadoed north and south of us last night but just heavy rain at my place. this is getting monotinous! I'll be climbing the walls if it don't settle down and get warm soon. It is 52 degrees here this morning, about 20 degrees below normal for May. It has been this way all month. My pool is still covered, too cold to swim anyway. Global warming? BS! I hate to see the condition of the water as it has been covered nearly a month more than normal. Still got sciatica and limping around, partially due to the weather I expect. Can't get in to get my spine injections until June 7th. Those shots bring almost instant relief but I have to wait too long once I develope pain. but that's my problem. Hope eveyone is well. Keep your heads down. Monty

OK here but daughter went to the closet again. It did not hit the ground. I think the family is going to invest in a safe room.

I would invest in one also,in NM,CA,OR!But then the g'kids would be too far away.

I have seriously thought about a safe room myself. We have tornados going all around us as of late and I figure the odds are getting slimmer. I have always wanted a house with a full basement. It would be a cinch to build a safe room in a basement. 3/8"Steel roof with concrete block walls below ground would almost be bomb proof. Hmmmm, maybe I'll just look for that old house with a big basement? They don't build basements anymore for some reason but I have friends who bought an older house and they love their basement. Monty

Glad you guys still have your feet on the ground! I think if I lived out there I would definitely want a safe room in the basement...with wireless of course!

I told the girls we were going to buy fifty gallon drums with lids..everyone dig their own hole and jump in... hanging tight to lid....Crazy weather...Just sent the girls off to Wisconsin with my mom for two weeks , WAH......they are heading toward Kansas City right now...hoping to beat the storms...

The barrel in the ground won't work Gypsy. Too many spiders and snakes in this part of the country. And with all the rain it would soon fill up with water. Around here if you don't have sump in your basement or storm shelter, you will soon have an inground swimming pool! The best hidey hole I have ever seen is TexanConnection's. You could live in there for awhile even if your house got blown away. And I can't figure out why trailer parks attract tornados to easily. I would never live next to a trailer park. Monty

Oki....where is TC's storm shelter?? I wanna see it now!
