I would like to apologize, and explain. Some of you might have thought that I was really wasted one night. I took some of my pain meds that I haven't taken for some time and it threw me for a loop. I pushed myself too hard. I am in pain almost all the time, but after driving 1700 miles then hunting every day since my arrival on tuesday was way more than I should have done, and the pain I was in was more than I could take. Cyn chewed my butt, because if I push too hard, I could paralyze myself, then no more detecting( I would figure out a way somehow) I have a hard time slowing down because I'm hyper, and don't like showing my pain because for me, it's like a sign of weakness, and I was raised not to be weak. Thank you all who kept checking on me to see if I was still breathing. By the way, I did have a great time, and will post some of my more interesting finds soon.

MISTERBEE,

We all have burdens of one sort of another that we carry. Yours is bigger than most can handle. No need to apologize. It was nice to meet you. Hope to see you and camp out again at CTH 4. Hang in there. Maybe things will get better. A lot of us care.

Bob

Brian, I already knew you were in pain an what you were doin I wish the pain would go away. And remember when you got here you also came an worked on my jeep! And at the hunt you helped me with my machine. I feel bad ! But, I knew you were on meds. And yes alot of us Love and Care so don't think anything of it ! :icon_sunny:

Hey Brandon,

It was great to meet you and your lovely significant other! You guys really make a great pair.

You gotta teach her how to use that Minelab :headbang:

By the way, has anyone ever told you that you look like Johnny Depp? ;D

It was super getting to meet you as well! Thanks... she's definitely a blessing in my life. :)
Yeah, I hope she'll try to detect at some point. She was just scared to at the hunt because she didn't want to look silly. I told her I'd show her how, but she said she'd rather just read her book instead.
Haha... yeah, I've had a couple handfuls of people tell me that over the years... even some complete strangers, which was kinda awkward. Hannah and her mom has both told me many times too. I kinda idolize (tongue-in-cheek) him for his diverseness of the roles he's played, but I definitely don't see him when I look at myself. I'm happy how God has created me though. :)

Great Pics Brandon! I was nice seeing you again and finally meeting Hannah! I wish I could have been there on the bottle digging sunday.
I'm glad to hear you all got home safe and I too look forward to CTH4. Take care, Johnny 8)

Bran tell her if she wants to see someone looking silly detecting, there are PLENTY of pictures of me on this site for her to look at. I'm the king of looking silly when I detect.

Thanks man... just wished we could've gotten more of everyone. It was great to see you again, and I know Hannah enjoyed meeting you and all the rest of my T-Net family. :) Yeah, it would've been cool if you would've been there for the dig... but your wife is far more important than some dig. I was just glad you were able to make it to the hunt at all! We'll dig again next time...

Lookin' forward to CTH4...

:laughing7: Well I'll have to refer her to your photos then...
This trip was good because she got to camp for the first time, as well as be submersed in a place that has rich history.
She was looking through the packet that we got and finding all kinds of historical places in Kansas that she'd like for us to travel to someday.
She even said that she'd like to live in a town like Caldwell... with that small town feel. I feel the same way too...
I'm just glad she was able to have a good time, and hopefully she'll be be ready to go on more adventures & road-trips with me in the future. :)

Don't fret misterbeee, you aren't the only one that was on meds. I am in pain every day and take all kinds of meds just to function. That last Sat night I was floating as I doubled up on my hydrocodone. Had to just to be able to stay on my feet and function I was so frazzled. That's why I didn't do much hunting. I was hurting and I don't like to take those heavy drugs unless I just absolutely have to. So, next time look me up and we can sit and swap lies...er..uh...I mean actual truthful stories! Nice pics Bran. I especially like the one where you two just crawled out from under a log! :D At least you got some of the hunt itself. I never did get to see what all was found but I did see a few of the coins. In a place like Chisholm Trail a foot can make a big difference in finding tresure or trash as it proved on the hunt this time. Oh and I wonder how the chicken made out mounted on Ringo's trailer ball? That was so funny! Monty

Camp for the first time? Well it ought to be a good memory then.

Yeah, we did look pretty rough the next morning after we got back.
I went down stairs and fell asleep on the couch. Hannah's dad woke me up and said I looked like I was drugged, because my eyes were bloodshot and glazed over. The next morning, my eyes have black & blue all around them like I had been punched in the eyes.
And yes, at least I got to hunt around a little. The neatest find for me was still that bottle dump that Dennis & I found. :)

Yeah, I think it was a good first camping trip. Definitely not as primitive as I'm used to... at all... but it was good for her to at least get her feet wet.

Been at work since 3:00 a.m., tried to send an email to BEF, not sure if it went through. I may have what they are looking for. (I think it was BEF looking for a ring).

HAD A GREAT TIME!!!!!!!!!!!

It was really great to meet so many people I thought I knew already. Hope to make it next year, time will tell.

Burdie and your great wife Vicki, thanks so very much. It was great and appreciated.

Gypsy, what can I say. I am at a loss for words. Might meet up with you in the fall in Springfield.

Albert, you are sure tough to keep up with. No wonder you find so much great stuff!

Later.

Bob

Sent you a pm thanks

No electricity, everones fences are gone, all have roof damage, cars over turnd on Highway 9, and no injuries in the immediate area. Mel's grill went flying off but the play set was not touched. Every one is safe in the housing development.

A farm south east of Caldwell was destroyed. We hope everyone is safe and at home. Thanks for your thoughts.

Burdie

Stan you need anything hollar, praying for you, sniffer, familes and friends

thankfully, we made it through without any problems, just a little wind and rain.
it's raining again right now. so far in the last week we've gotten a little under 4 inches of rain and they are predicting rain all day and into tonight

Hopefully it'll make that garden grow!!!
