CTX 3030 climb battery pack- AA batteries inside of them

So I was reading one of my books on the CTS 3030 written by Andy Sabisch and I just realize that in this one area he talks about the alkaline battery pack and it was saying you can put AA lithium rechargeable batteries in the Alkaline battery pack. Has anyone tried this? Mention is also good to use fast charging charger to get with them somewhere else about using a loop diaries can put eight of them in there.

do you think that if I got some of those AA lithium ion rechargeable batteries 1.5 V each and buy a charger a rapid charger for it this might work for the alkaline battery pack?

I use the Minelab Multi battery charger along with the Minelab 2450mAh AA batteries, and they work just fine with my CTX3030 and my Etrac detector.

Li-ion requires ( for best results and less chance of disaster) a balance charge when using multi cells, the expensive factory li-ion pack has a circuit board in it that "talks" to the charger and balances the pack, that said what you suggest is doable just has to be done correctly.
In fact I'm working on my batteries now and some of my questions, the answers will help, I'm going to start a thread.
