I ran a V3i for many years and I still have it, along with the new Manticore. The V3i has a state of the art diagnostics, especially in polar display. It tells if it is conductive definitively IMO. The Manticore's 2D display just can not match the polar display on the V. I never swung a CTX myself but a hunt buddy of mine did several years ago. The CTX with its similar 2D display like the Manticore, is likely where Minelab got the Manticores 2D. Light machine though. I don't think I would get the CTX but like I said, I never have even held a CTX. I really need to get out with my Manticore a lot more to prove it.I just switched over to the Manticore after swinging a V3i for 10 years.
The Manticore is very sensitive and light.
I still have mine as well and will hold onto it as a back up.I ran a V3i for many years and I still have it, along with the new Manticore.
