cuff link and copper

I hit a new feild this morning in the rain for about two hours. I didnt know if anything was going to be there but I gave it a try and found one copper one cufflink and a button. Now I know theres at least something there so cant wait to the next time.

I don't know waht you found but it appears to be a great find on some relic keepers

I see that too Chris. I'd like to see a few pics of both sides of the copper. Might be able to make an accurate ID. Nice finds.

I found the date its a 1782 but the head dose not look like a kg. The back is bad but I can see some letters around the rim so I will try to clean it a little more. Thanks

If it's 1782 it can't be Geo. II.

It's either not a bust left, not 1782, or something more interesting than the typical dug copper.

I finally cleaned the copper good enough to see what it is. Its a 1788 Connecticut copper that's two out of my last three coppers being Connecticut's.

It didn't clean up good enough to post more pics it. I had to wet it and use my magnifying glass to finally find out what it was its a lot worse than my last one but I'm glad i got a id.
