Curious as to a good Concealed pistol for beach detecting

I am looking to get a good firearm for beach detecting protection. Something concealed of course and can handle a the saltwater environment. I am not looking to submerge it as it would go in a dry box when I decide to hit the water.

When I wear shorts I carry a Ruger LCP II in 380. It fits easily in a pocket and hides very well.
