3 Days ago they were Doing Major Work on It . Widening Things, Filling Potholes
Was looking Great

2 Days ago They had Torrential Rains all Day ! Washed All The Fill Away

They may as Well Give up on that Road. Now that they started Black Toppimg & putting in Ditches , The Latest. Translation Sucks, Everything is "my Boss"


This morning‼️Emergency, all routes leading to the Batu Jomba road have collapsed and are complet...

Trying to build roads where Ma Nature doesn't want them is a losing proposition.
Yet another good reason not to build towns all the way out in BFE...

Even if I Was From there, I Wouldn't help these People.
For a Week Now They Finally opened the Road enough to get the Stranded Drivers Out. now no one seems to realize, the construction crews
are rescuing them over & Over. How are they supposed to Repair the Roads when they Continue to tear them back up as fast as they Level them


unless Traffiic is at 0 for a Month to Level, Clean & Re-Top
it's a losing cause

I was reading The Wealth and Poverty of Nations by David S. Landes, and he says weather and climate are major reasons why some parts of the world are so encumbered economically and will continue to be regardless of the efforts by their peoples to overcome it. For example places with just two seasons - Rainy and Dry, experience times where planting crops is impossible due to flooding, or conversely impossible because there is no water. Famine becomes rife, infrastructure impossible to maintain long term, the very ability of people to innovate is stifled by them first having to prioritize more pressing needs - like food, shelter, and health. The rainy seasons often bringing with them pathogens, spread by water and insects, which due to a lack of a winter season, are often forever endemic with no respite.

I just saw Yesterday, This Year was the first in Decades that they started Fixing the Roads . They Were Bragging & Impressed at what all they were Doing,
then 6 Days ago they got hit My Record Flooding, that not only washed away all they did so far AGAIN, but actually Destroyed the roads.

No Idea How far they are into the Rainy Season , But yes it's a Sad Situation there, But the apparent lack of Driving Laws Make things Worse. I'm surprised More Trucks Don't Topple Over From the lack of Weight restrictions. They also have no Side of the Road to Stay on.
Which ever side Works at the moment they Use And hard to believe that they can Do Anything, with the amount of traffic.

It's Like everyone in the Country has to Do a Drive-by when Something Goes on there
