I mostly agree with cudamarks Post that if the kid refuses to behave in school kick him out.
...that is what private schools do, which is one reason they score higher than public schools. public schools are are open to all, and have very tight rules for how/when/how long/who you can expel or suspend. another thing to consider is that when folks are asked how THEIR public school is doing they tend to be favorable, but when asked how public schools as a whole are doing they tend to be negative.
I tend to take everything i read or watch or hear with a grain of salt...remember all those "news" outlets are trying to make a buck, usually off advertising...so the more you watch, respond, become outraged...the better their bottom line. I see CNN, Fox, and all the rest more as provocateurs than as reliable news sources.
