Two hour hunt this evening at a large field permission Ive had for several years. At least three colonial sites on the property with lots of good finds but no colonial era silver coinage. That is until tonight:headbang: Quarter cut Charles III Pillar 8 Reales8-). 1760-1772. Only my 4 Reales cob is heavier than this one

Thanks for looking everyone. I was sure that the really nice 1764 1 Real that I recovered in February on a new permission would be nearly impossible to top for this year and maybe many more to come. Little did I know that this beauty was waiting for me at a two year old permission. Love how this hobby works sometimes.

Awesome save! I just pulled my first cut on a property over by Cockeysville.. I love Maryland sites! haha I have another virgin permission over by Westminster I'm going to on Saturday. Keep up the hunting and good luck!
