My first ever Pistareen, she is beat up but I like it. Carolina Tom came up and we hooked up after the monsoon went through. Scrappy, Bartec, Tom and I will be hunting together tomorrow, so hopefully we will have some great finds. I know we are going to have a lot of laughs.

I found a few other things, but I came home and have been working on the new house, I've got things that are out in my pouch.

Enjoy the pix

Beat up but still beautiful !

Quite nice. At least the monsoon is over. Kinda surprised you got out today.

I still think you should have taken my suggestion and just launched your boat bruddah. See you tomorrow. I’m driving as I think Bart needs his beauty sleep. He is the best looking Basstards amongst us....

Great cut silver BTW. I’m still looking for my first pistareen AND cut Spanish.

Awesome hunt today buddy, thanks for taking me along for the show. You got two killer pieces of silver. That monogrammed cuff link is a great find. That belonged to some fancy schmancy dude a couple of hundred years ago.

I think that your coin is a 2R Ferdinand 7th.

I’ll see you in the morning.

Day one and you've got a couple of sweet keepers already. Congrats!

Congratualtions on the nice old copper find! You had a great day! :occasion14:

Nice finds. Dont believe I have ever seen a pistareen from the 1800s posted before. I doubt many of those were in circulation or if they were even legal tender for that matter being debased silver and all

Freakiing awesome Brad!! Good start to hopefully a few days of awesome hunting for you guys!!

It's been a whirlwind, I worked straight 15 hours Sat, did about 12 Sun. I managed to get enough done to free me up to hunt. You can join us, I forgot to PM you, you got lost in the whirlwind. Sorry, come join us tomorrow or Wed?

You had fun watching me lick those two silvers, see ya in the am, brother. I still say you didn't do so bad.

I hope I can keep up, my body hurts from all the house moving. Thank you buddy.

I guess you think that old silver is copper, better look again Doc. Thanks either way.

I need to read up on them, I know nothing about them except they sound sweet and they are Spanish silver

Congrats on the cut spanish!
Thank you sir

Thanks Ken, In the field right across the street where you found that silver hat thingy

Such cool old stuff!!

Nicely done, and all the best,

Lanny

Great find Bud! Wear Tom out before you send him south.

That Pistareen has had some life! Beat up but still a beauty, nice hunt with friends. Good luck out there today

Not a pistereen!

Hard to tell from pics but I think your right as I can see a pillar on the reverese. A Pistareen would only have a shield. It does appear to be a colonial 2 reales though. Same size as a pistareen just minted in new world instead of Spain.

Looks and sounds like you enjoy every minute of this hobby treblehunter. You got some cool keepers there.
