Got out today with Civilman1.The site has been pounded since the 1970s. The ground was as hard as concrete, it was hot, but I did not give up. I found a spot where others had dug, holes everywhere, but managed this nice .52 cal. sharps bullet. They missed one LOL! No place is truly hunted out.

Nice find. I went out today as well. The ground was hard and the bugs were terrible. No place is ever hunted out. Great find. I am sure you will find more there.

I hunted that site a few weeks ago. I saw some really nice coins that came from there including a gold one. I didn't find any but am glad they were saved.

Dude, I only lasted one day there. Rock hard. I did find a few things, but it was brutal. I headed back to the water where its cool and easy to dig.

Nice patina on that one Roger. A Summer bullet is hard to come by and Joe doesn't leave much to dig-LOL. HH, Quindy.

Dirt cant be as hard as it is here, you about need a hammer and chisel. Nice sharps to bad another great site is gonna get covered with asphault
