Dahlias

Went to Old House Dahlias (8005 SE Mill St., Ptld, www.oldhousedahlias.com) today to look at what was blooming. Have included photos of three: Bitsy, China Doll, and Tempest. I finally settled on purchasing tubers of 2 Tempest, to be delivered between Apr. 15 and May 15 of next year. Should be difficult: only 3 blocks away.

For a pom-pom type Dahlia, it is ginormous! Most of this type are tiny, perhaps 2 inches across maximum. I find the color striking, and the size especially interesting. Plan on planting in front of my house next year. Thanks for looking.
