Dandy, KG II Farthing and Andrew Jackson button

Did ok tonight in what was probably my last hunt on my cut Pistareen site. Goose and deer(gun) season are near and the finds are getting sparse. The toasted farthing is a first for me and upon closer inspection one of the few buttons dug tonight turns out to be a Andrew Jackson inauguration button dated March 4 1829

What a great button with great timing! Now, I've always been naturally into history as I'm sure many members are, however, the mentioning of Andrew Jackson represents a shakeup of politics almost 200 years ago. With similar undertones of our current election process, I think this button underscores a period of American politics similar to our current one. 1824 and 1828 were two shaky elections in American history

Yes I believe Jackson was the first to use such campaign paraphernalia as this button is quite valuable in non dug condition
