Maybe a troll caught the leprecauns and broke the pot in the process. They're tough to go shopping with.

It was a great day of digging today. I hit an old home from the early 1900s that has been abandoned for decades. I did find a miners tag and the open hole to a well or cistern. I was able to stick the detector in the hole and got hits that werent iron, so Im trying to figure out if its worth trying to excavate the well/cistern hole.

You will never find out if it was worth it unless you just do it, who knows it could have been a wishing well that people have thrown coins in for some time now.

Well aint that the truth! It's a very small opening an it isn't very deep, so it might be easy to get to the bottom of it. As we were leaving, I found a trash dump in a draw. It isn't very old trash....Maybe from the 50's or 60s even.

They use crappy pots, the bottoms rust out and all the gold disappears.

It's because you're trying to steal their lucky charms.
