Morning, I've been planning for the first time, I'm in the UK. It's something I've wanted to do since I was around ten years old!

Anyway, I found a number of small round dark grey / dark silver reflective objects in my pan. They look like dark coloured ball bearings They sink but are quite light, this is due to them being hollow. When crushed with force the remaining pieces are heavy and appear to be a metal. The balls are approximately 0.05" diameter.

Any idea what they could be?
Thanks,

It crushed pretty easily under my finger nail, so I don't think it was a bearing.
Thanks.

Pardon me ChrisUK, welcome to the forum.

No idea here.

Are the ones you are finding all uniform size? Also, are they magnetic?

It couldn't really be anything from a tracer round, I don't think. They are designed not to lose weight, which would affect ballistics.

Hi, thanks.
They seem to be the same or very similar size.
I don't know if they are magnetic though, I didn't keep them.
Next time I go I will keep some and check.
Thanks.
