Went back to see what we could find at the virgin 2 acre site we hit last week. My diggin buddy was the first to dig anything of note with a silver spill consisting of 3 Washington quarters 40, 42 and 1944, a Rosie (1946) and a couple wheaties and a nickel. I had just told him I haven’t found any US silver his year, anyway, the ground has been moved around a little so things are at strange depths, I dug a Jefferson nickel at 10” and the a musket ball at 4” and for some reason nothing sounded good today. Half way through the biggest field I got a deep 26 and pulled up a very nice 1877 seated dime and a little while later a very ugly but identifiable Massachusetts copper, my second in 6 months. I wish these thing would hold up better, such a pretty coin and they’re both toasted
