Because of all the recent rain, we decided on Barley Field 3 which is still stubble, the others have been ploughed & would be too sticky.
Spent a hard 4 hours (8 man hours) finding very little.

Normally I happy with a good button but I was expecting a little more off this field. We won't be back on this one unless desperate :P

On the plus side, the two Victorian Hunts Buttons are variants I need :)

1 scrappy to add to the total.

Lets hope tomorrow will be better, at least the ploughed fields will be dry enough.

With you and your father's record, I can
somewhat understand you disappointment.
However, they are still some nice finds!!!

you think you had a bad day ?
I found 3 sinkers a bunch of barbed wires pieces, my headphone on my jw fishers pulse 8x quit working, I lost my small digging tool, and I got an infection on my middle finger of my digging hand.

waves were 1-3 feet and I got banged up in the surf zone,2 or 3 waves sent brown nasty lake water down my snorkel but I still had a good day at the lake. I dug for over 45 minutes on a single hit that turned out to be the cooling fins from a refrigerator.

best wishes and happy hunting.

That's enough to keep the hunt interesting! HH, Mike

You win :D

waves finally subsided for a day and I was able to recover my digging tool. my finger is getting better and I found what I hope is a bracelet. I believe it is always darkest before the dawn so I'm hoping for good things.
no competition here just letting you know I feel your pain.

happy hunting.
