DAy 3&4 with the ACE 250

Well I had a guy laugh at me saturday saying "Hah the hobby that pays for itself"! I was like yep as I pulled a stack of three qtrs out of a pocket spill of over 2 bucks! Then he was like I need to get me one of those. I just kept on my way. But no old stuff so far, the oldest QTR is a 65, dime 1966, Nickel 1960, but I'm still trying! But pulled about $20 for the weekend and I'm going out again in about an hour, enjoy the pic, HH

P.S the ACE 250 rocks and in 4 days of hunting $38.00 in Clad and one ring(silver) No regrets in my choice!!

You are doing just great with the 250. That is one powerful little MD for the price. The Ace 250 is capable of finding the older stuff also.

Keep up the great work, looking forward to that first silver coin post from you in the near future.

Dave

Yeah, I had my Ace 250 paid off in its first week with a 14K gold wedding band in a tot lot. Then I found another wedding band in another tot lot later on, a 22K honker! Not to mention the silver and tons and tons of clad. I've since upgraded but will never sell the Ace.

I'm new to the 250 went with the bigger coil becasue I hit a lot of big fields, other then being a little off on pin pointing it is really good, even in trashy areas. I have one park that looks like the aluminum confetti machine blew up and found about ten bucks in clad with it. I reccommend it for big areas but I'm going to invest in a sniper coil for my smaller ares, hope this helps ya, also I run in custom mode 5cent and 1cent for gold, 10cent to 50 cent for silver and clad coins seems to be a good range for my areas, HH STH69

Re: DAy 3&4 with the ACE 250

Love that ACE 250. I have been using the 12" coil this year too. Been getting some great depth in the farm fields I've been working. And it still finds the tiniest of items too. For me, the pinpointing has been fine, it has been the reported depths are fluctuate.

EU_Citizen directed me to a website he and some other MDers put together showing how good the 12" coil is on the 250. I see if I can find it again and post it. It was a nice comparison of different detectors.
