Spent 4.5 hours (9 man hours) on the grass sheep field which has been ploughed in the past.
We had done this field but as the grass is short & soaking wet its worth doing again.
Here is a little tip you may have done yourself? When you have done a field grid system then on your return try going at a 90 degree angle to the way you did before.
I was pleased today with several keepers at 7inches-8inches;
3 scrappy romans
Cut Qrter Hammered cica 1300 (very small easy to miss, Cortes is earning its keep)
- When a Penny is cut into a Qrter it becomes a Farthing.
Very interesting blank silver coin cica 1600s with various countermarks on both sides
Silver plating - Hallmarked Chester 1908
Medieval Square Coin Weight
Lead Token
Livery Button
and bits.......
Overall a good result 8)
