Cripes it was cold....Wind was killing Cheyenne and I but we kept digging.
Good thing Cheyenne held tight to my coffee as she slid down the hill!
Best thing is ,I found the other half of my Whatzit....

Found a photo of the old village halls that wwere on the property. Used temporaily as a school when the school burned .

I thought the image on the Deere item was a guy reading the paper while using the privy.

I've never seen a "center-axis" lorgnette; maybe the things with lenses really are Frontier Optometrist gear.

And who reads with a lorgnette in the ess-house, anyway? Not a time most of us put on airs..

I am beginning to wonder if there was an eye doctor building near by....I am finding several items that pertain to an eye doctor .....so doing a little more research...

One technical point...that blue-eyed thingy with the green hood...I don't think that you are allowed to take those home. JUST KIDDING!! What a cute kid!! Seriously, the eyeglass items could definitely be antiques, so you may have hit gold afterall.

This is really making me want to dig up the privy in my back yard. The outhouse itself is still on it's side near the river. Yes, I ordered my henchman (husband) to put it there when I was much younger and didn't appreciate the finer things in life. Really nice digs, love the spectacles on a stick!
