In December I searched $575 (23 boxes) in cents, $1,000 (2 boxes) in quarters, $5,500 (22 boxes) in dimes, and $72,500 (145 boxes) in halves. Here is what I was able to recover:

15,732 - Copper Cents
373 - Wheat Cents
3 - Washington Quarters (all from reject trays, not boxes)
2 - Mercury Dimes
40 - Roosevelt Dimes
1 - 1906 Barber half
1 - 1952 Booker T. Washington/George W. Carver commemorative half
32 - Walking Liberty halves
44 - Franklin halves
57 - 1964 Kennedy halves
450 - 40% Kennedy halves

That is amazing volume. Halves alone equate to over 4 boxes searched each day. I would love to do that kind of volume but could never manage the dumping where I'm at. Congrats on a great year and even better luck in 2012!

CnC,

That is a great year for most of the posters on this site...(a great month for you)! I've had the Carver/Washington commemorative on my "realistic wish list" for a while...I got a Booker T 2-3 years ago, but haven't snagged the W/C yet.

Best wishes to you for continued success in 2012.

HH,
CD

how many hours do you normally spending CRHing per week? I recall you mentioned you had a day job too. I can't imagine all those boxes and then pennies too. LOL

It used to be about 15 hours a week, but since mid Sept when I started doing the crazy db23 type volume I do now (thanks for the push db23), it's more like 25 hours a week.

A really good job as a matter of fact. I'm an I.B.E.W. electrician in N.Y.C., and my work week is only 35 hours - Mon to Fri from 7AM to 2:30PM. Getting home early allows me plenty of time to enjoy this great hobby.

Pennies hardly count at all since I just knock those out at night with my Ryedale as I watch TV.
