They made a movie about government (U.S.) experiments in remote viewing. I think it was called "Men Who Stare at Goats" or something similar. Based on actual experiments.

I think I read a book about this. "Psychic Warrior" by David Morehouse. He was given a sealed envelope with something related to the Ark inside. He saw an object that looked like the Ark. He described being in a place that felt forbidden and highly protected. It felt like many had died getting the object there safely. The guy's story was quite compelling. I found it to be very believable.

Latest news this week claims it was approved to build over the stretch of land between Jerusalem and the area believed to hold the Ark. They already had a National park wrapped around the site to preserve it.
