Decorative brass knob to...????

Found on site that’s been occupied from the 1700s...mostly late 19th-early 20th c. finds...Nice green patina esp on back. It has one thick wire still attached and a place to indicate where another might have been.

You are right! Found some near-identical ones online. Think mine is civil war era, which matches site’s history...thank u
