This is a Hillsbourough point from the same county...it’s made from heat treated fossiliferous chert...Color is true, not edited. 54FDF152-CE73-4C00-8025-B3AF0F22CF76.jpeg 55704576-5BD5-43AC-92DF-E89A772148DE.jpeg 4E9A9604-36C2-46A3-8E33-F077F6B83FF3.jpeg 95E8AD63-566F-49D1-8F11-8C7C36A2E991.jpeg 6790C2A6-8877-4D67-8771-37B1421B8FDA.jpeg

Real thing of beauty there, those microfossils are sweet as well, what's not to like about that point.

Glad you enjoyed it, after all, that’s what they’re for, I basically quit collecting about 40 years ago, and just recently wanted to get back with other collectors, but all the societies around here were not like I remembered em, then I bought an I pad and discovered forums, and away we go.

Great point!! It's amazing that Florida produces such a variety of colors and shapes.

...I really think that wooden clothes pins are an essential item. I bet the dollar store has them for around ninety nine pennies or just over 100.
You have a most beautiful assortment in your collection. What would you guess as to the most often found lithic and what is your personal favorite lithic?

The most found Florida lithic in the Tampa Bay Area is a crappy dull lookin chert....However some sites tend to have a few more high grade cherts, coral and coastal plains...I have worked some sites for years and only found one like this, they are not common, a miss conception fueled by thousands of fakes floating around...I’m sure it’s the same for u...I personally like any agatized lithics, heck, you know what I’m talkin about,Lol...I only have a few like these
