Woodland Preform

I went to a local creek with no rain it was very low. I found some flakes. Probably not worth posting but I looked for 5 hours. I walked the whole creek this time. If it had been finished I’d say probably a Little Bear Creek as the type. What’s cool about it is it’s made from Coastal Plains Chert. CPC is found south of me by 50+ miles. I don’t have but a couple made from it. Found in the water.

Unfinished or discard; still a cool find 👍. I think it could have been something made quickly or by a unskilled knapper.

I agree, I think it's a finished point just not a great job. Too small for a preform. Form follows function.

Okay I believe the new pictures will reveal more. It’s kinda unifaced so it’s possibly a Copena.
Top, bottom and both sides. Stem looks unfinished as well.
