Deer Hunting (sort of)

I tried to Deer hunt for a few days, saw a little spike the first day, couldn't get a clear shot.
The other days i didn't see much but birds & squirell's, & the 'Awesome things' in Nature.
So I took a few pic's of what I saw, maybe if the cupboard & fridge wasn't stocked, I could hunt harder. :P
Pic's include a stove damper from an old house place found in the creek, plus feathers of a 'Hawks meal'.
but i will not lack for 'venison', my son got a 10 pointer, & his Father-in-law got one also.

Cool pictures, fossis! This is my favorite time of year to be in the woods--it seems like you notice so much more after the grass dies back and the leaves fall.
What are the red berries on--a tree or bush?

Thanks, I also love to get out during the Thanksgiving holidays, one of my favorite times of the year.
The berries were on bushes, not sure what they are called.

Thanks, I can never get enough of 'Nature's Treasures', & if i don't get any meat, I still enjoy every moment.
The Bears, lions, & wild hogs are getting so thick we have to arm ourselves, a friend had a bear chew his four-wheeler seat off while he was muzzle loader hunting, it 'popped it's teeth' at him & followed him to the four wheeler.
They trapped a bear in one little town in AR, & a house dog treed a sow & two cubs in a yard, my Aunt had a bear eating her dog's food, & I saw two mountain lions while fossil hunting on a mt road.
A crew of Mexican rock stackers were ran off a hill ,(a lion was watching them work).
My Son actually sold his house near the Forest & moved closer to town after a horse was attacked near him, so we keep our eyes 'peeled'.

Thanks, it's all around me, (5,000.000 acres) of National Forest, Corp of Engineers land, plus thousands of acres of 'private land', so everywhere I go I see lots to photograph.
After my old camera 'died', I couldn't find the one my 'Darling Daughter' gave me, (packed away), after several tries, I located it, so i'me 'Back in the saddle again'.

Boy,that's some bark on that tree.

That is a 'Hackberry tree', they grow little black berries, the birds like them.
unless you meant the 'white barked one', it's a Sycamore.

Yeah thats a Rem 742, I borrowed it from a friend, glad you are stocking up on meat.
