Went to a different woods behind an old high school to resolve a problem I was having with the Explorer. It was acting very unstable with a lot of spurious signals. I finally figured out that I had inadvertently pushed the manual sensitivity button, which was the cause of the unstable operation. When I pushed the Button again to put the machine in Semi-auto sensativity mode everything cleared up and the machine ran smoothly. What a dolt! Anyway, found a few things at this spot, including a Buffalo Nickel and a couple of clad pieces. Then I decided to try the amusement park woods again. And I hunted there for about 3 hours and didn't pick up any deer ticks. Go figure. But I did pick up a couple more silvers, including a 1904 Barber Quarter and a 1943 War Nickel. Also found another Jefferson Nickel and three Wheaties.
The Barber Quarter was about 6 inches deep and tilted. I managed to get it out of the ground without gouging it. It's in pretty good shape with a full liberty.

I tumbled the War Nickel with the rest of the stuff. That's why it's bright and shiney.

The rest of the stuff isn't in very good shape, as you can see:

I also foung a smashed bullet, a 22 shell, a lipstick tube, a rusty religious medal and a stainless steel spoon, in addition to the wads of aluminum foil and other junk items.
