I found a silver ring about 2 months ago. That one had an onyx stone. Today I found this one at the entrance to the state fair grounds. Its stamped .925 but the stone is missing :( But thats ok. Two silver rings for 2008. I hope to find a gold one in 09! Happy New Year to you all. Cheers, Shane

Thanks for the replys guys. Stoney arent you the guy I met at the Louisiana Bayou hunt? You had the Deleon with the huge rectangler coil? If so how does that thing do? Cost? whats the design primarily used for? Thanks, Cheers, shane

Shane, yes that was me. The Clean Sweep works great. I use it mainly in areas where I need to cover a large amt of terrain fairly quickly. I have places that have a large # of houses that have been razed and it works pretty good there as well. It doesn't get great depth probably 6-7" or so but allows me to find areas where concentrations of relics might be and then I can switch to a deeper coil. I picked it up for about $100 with the lower rod.

O.K cool.....thought that was you. I will be getting the chance to hunt where skirmishes and a camp were during the CW. Lots of soybean fields so this would probably be the best choice. Hit a concentrated area of finds and then switch to a deeper coil. Thanks, i will see if I can find one on the bay. Cheers, shane
