Getting ready to head on out to Florida for a couple of weeks, I decided to do some last minute detecting around my neighborhood.
June was pretty slow find-wise, and figured July would be the same. Just not much construction activity going on, and coupled with the heat,
not too much desire to even go out and hunt. These were all found in an old lot that hopefully will be still available when I get back from vacation.
The "Mutual Thrift League, Thriftor" token is interesting, but off course in horrible condition. Only three coins, 1926 Wheatie, 1942-D and 1951-D dimes were found.
Finding the earlier general service button was nice, but the best was the Denver Licensed Newsboy badge. Curious to the WWI era "D" button,
no marks on the back. Figured it's a collar pin, but for what exactly?
Enjoy.
Carl
