DEPRESSION BOWL

This a real nice depression bowl, I found in fairfield county, ohio. not sure of material might be
hematite. any opinions or help i would appreciate.

cool find,sorry i cant help you out on the material.nice celts and hematite in your other post.that tapered celt is real nice.you get around a little bit,how often do you come up to fairfield county? :thumbsup:

Thanks for the compliments . Greg i get up to fairfield county 5 or 6 times a year. wish i could get up there more but having to work gets in the way of that, fairfield county is a really rich area for
artifacts. how often do you get down to ross county? maybe me and you can get together and
go out hunting sometime. I have some nice spots in ross,scioto,pike, fayette,hocking counties.
my 12 year old son goes with me some, but he is getting to the age where he is in to girls and
things so it would be kind of cool to have someone to hunt with.

Thx for the invite,i will take you up on it asap.i have never hunted any of those counties,would really like to do some huntn in ross county.i hunt fairfield,perry and licking county out around the buckeye lake area most of the time,years ago i use to hunt the ohio river and coshocton county quite a bit,but as you said with work and kids its difficult to go real far from home.you are more than welcome to join me sometime hunting up this way.i hunt with pickaway pretty often and we have some nice spots to hunt.i have hunted the scioto river a few times and want to do alot more huntn on it this year.you have much luck on the scioto down in ross county?yea its alot more fun when you got a huntn partner.i will get a hold of you or you get a hold of me when this snow melts and we will hook up for some hunting. :headbang:

I had found something like this in Texas and someone told me it was a grease bowl . Mine looks like some flour , corn meal has dryed in mine . Not sure , But I had found one also on the enter net calling it the same thing and they wanted like $500.00 bucks for theres . Not to get your hopes up or anything but that what I would say . I am also not a expert . But I hope that I helped .
