Depth and search mode garrett ace 150

Do i lose depth with different search modes? Like if i keep it on jewelry mode do i lose inches compared if i kept it on all metal? And what if i cant upgeade my detector whats a good choice for coil for ace 150?

I never swung a Garrett, but my BH LRP was about 1"-1 1'2" deeper in all metal mode. Just do an air test using several types of coins.
