I found this at an old tavern and hotel in Pa. The property owner has lived there since 1950. He helicoptered me as a detected. I pulled this out if the dirt, and his eyes lit up. He got it as a gift when he was a boy, and lost it. He's 65 years old now, but when he held it for the first time in 55 years, he looked like a little boy again. He cleaned it up that day, and it still works! He couldn't be happier.

Your pic and story are well worth his keepsake staying with him. Congrats!
Them detector things work. l.o.l.

Those are the things that really make this hobby worthwhile. Great job and great story...Brad

Yeah! He told me I could keep whatever I found, but there was no way I was seperating him from childhood nastalgia. For what?

Great heart there :occasion14: Great story , making a friend happy is a higher calling than :3barsgold:

Excellent find and nice return! I love term "helicoptered" or "helicoptering", though I hate it when it happens.
