So I can make sure I am in the right area. Notice the clover design also Humphrey being from Ireland you think it has a connection?

I thought the buckle piece to be too small to be a slide it’s the size of a penny. And has iron piece through the middle. I feel like scarf slides might have been more fancy and not made from iron.

Yes it is quite small I need to get back out there. I was surprised I didn’t find anything else. It was never hunted the soil is dark black very soft and rich

Yes, they vary in size & this is in the right range, but some 18th C Hat buckles are pretty similar.
