Detector Pro Pirate vs Ace 250

Does anyone out there use a Detector Pro Pirate and if so how would you rate it to a Ace 250 for a newbie. I live in NW Arkansa but travel a lot and would be using it for general use or anything I can find in dry ground, dry and wet salt sand. any input greatly appreciated.

I would stay away from brands that are not White's, Garrett, Tesoro, MineLab, Fisher or Midrange and above Bounty Hunters (and their related brands - which includes Fisher detectors). There are some specialty brands, but they tend not to be low end, entry level detectors.
