Gold Test on DETEKNIX Pinpointer DIVER version

Hi guys

As you all probably know, I'm an addict of "deep" scuba detection.... I'm testing the Diver version of the Deteknix pinpointer...

Question: would you like to have a detailed test article & video? And if yes, which test will you want to have?

Ask yes, but I didn't gave it. I was surprise to be on the website & on the box.

I'm not looking for any royalties, lets say that I prefer not to pay my detectors and have my buddies well equipped as well. Most of the time i have "great discounts" or "unlimited trial". Deteknix is very small company and is not comparable to Minelab!

If I take the MB case, they ask for underwater photos or videos to use during their shows or little commercials. => every used detectors are not sent back, they can also pay for extra (specials tanks, diving suit etc..).

Sounds like a great tradeoff. Good for you man.

The on/off button is a small issue with the Makro pointer - it just isn't worth the effort involved to constantly press it off and press it on (and attract attention with its beeping). I just leave it on and sheathed until I need it. I do find the various button pushes confusing in any case to change sensitivity, features, and turn on/off ... I liked the simplicity of the ML Profind, but it isn't waterproof.

That would mean the Xpointer needs to have battery power enough to sustain about 7 hours of continuous use, never being turned off during the period I'm using it. Since I won't be turning it on and off it needs a battery equal to the Makro, or better.

Nice setup... And I like the color!! Can't wait to hear your reviews!

Here is a little video with an Air test on GOLD

Xpointer Diver VS Vibra tector VS White's TRX Bullet Eye VS Mienlab Pro Find 25

FYI,

A little Add-on will be made shortly to increase the depth usage. It won't change the Pinpointer feature, just securing the usage for depth > -30m (100ft)

I have to hand it to ya frog..
Good videos.
WD.

Also... I like the pin pointer ...
Now for the REAL test...

Durability.

Count how many times you use it... both in an out of water etc.
This is my most curious thought.
May work well...
But for how long... ?... this is yet to be seen.

IF tuff and lasts without problems...
I would buy it.

Honestly, go for it as soon as it is available on the market! It is not the most powerfull pinpointer I've seen, but a good average+ in every situation. Side detection is good, front etc... Rechargeble batteries are powerfull enough for at least 10*3h hours hunt. Look at my vids Frogmaster#6, we use it in land and here's the latest pic I took of it

I have received 3 beta version, gave one to Laurent detection => found it fantastic for diving, gave one to Aquaman => found it fantastic for diving and land (have already sold his orange garrett) and me, I'm not a pinpointer addict but when I need one Xpointer Diver is good.

It is the one that I keep with me now underwater or on land.

I love/hate the luck of some people, haha.
Just watching it looks almost staged how easy it seems to find little gold coins, rings, bracelets and so on. Keep it up, obviously with experience comes rewards (As well as persistence)

Thanks Bquamb!

Can't show everything unfortunately! Most of the countries around the Med Sea have laws against metal detection. I try to focus on technical stuff to avoid any pursuit. England is great for Tresure Hunting with their Treasure Act..... but for underwater it is SXXXXXT! Cold, no visibility etc...
