If a ring is found you must make decisions.
Try to find the person that lost it.
Keep it for yourself.
Sell it.
If you elect to sell it you must decide on the melt value vs. the aesthetic value and go from there. You are absolutely right about finding the right buyer. I have kept stuff for a year or two before finding the right buyer.
I want the most money from my finds to help my addiction to detectors. LOL
