DFX or MXT

If you had a choice between the Whites DFX or the MXT witch one would you take and why? Thanks

Both great machines but the DFX has more to offer all around. Dual frequency is nice especially for bad grounds. The DFX will do wet salt beach work whereas the MXT being single freq may struggle.

What kind of detecting would you be doing mostly?

I do parks and schools, going to be trying some relic and beach hunting sometime this summer...

Personally I would opt for the MXT myself but I've used it extensively and it is one relic monger when it comes to relics, also fantastic on gold too. I was skeptical when I bought my V3i whether or not I was going to be able to find the goodies like I could with my MXT but I'm glad I bought it cause that's all I use anymore except for my BHID.

The only two advantages the MXT has is 1. easier to learn to operate, and 2. The MXT is a better gold-prospecting unit. Other than those two, the DFX is much the better machine.
