Are you able to tell us what the word is? I can see what looks like the letters 'UNC' followed by two more letters, but it's not a great picture.

If those are the letters, it might be 'UNCAS' of Rhode Island. Their early marks had a letter 'U' with one or two arrows but in 1962 they also registered the word in full (cancelled in 2022 after failure to renew). If so, it will be costume jewellery with rhinestones.

The picture of the other piece is also terrible and no maker mark is visible. What do you mean by "cowgirl up boots"?

Cowgirl up ! It’s an American cowboy “cowgirl” saying means get your big girl panties on.

Thanks for the clarification and better picture.

The mark is “GIVENCHY", founded in Paris in 1952 as a fragrance house and parfumier using the name "House of Givenchy". They later had a prominent presence in New York. During the 1970s, they diversified into fashion, shoes, jewellery, ties and also tableware and upholstery.

The Givenchy name was trademarked for jewellery in 1977 (applied for in 1975) and is still live. The vast majority of their fashion jewellery is ‘costume’ in nature using rhinestones and crystal although they did occasionally use diamonds on larger statement pieces.
